Dr Anoop Jain

Medical practitioner with specialist training in anaesthesia and intensive care.

Dr Anoop Jain is a senior specialist in anaesthetics, providing a high level of customised anaesthesia care to patients through surgery. He has a special interest in regional anaesthesia, pain medicine, remote site anaesthesia, and peri-operative anxiety.

Dr Jain enjoys working with some of the best and brightest minds in medicine to manage complex medical issues and make tangible improvements to patients' conditions in real-time. He values the trust afforded to him by his patients and strives to make a positive difference in their lives.

The opportunity to help people and to be intellectually challenged and mentally stimulated drew Dr Jain to study anaesthesia.

He undertook his medical school and emergency medicine training in New Delhi, India, and worked there as an emergency medicine consultant until May 2014 when he moved to Australia. Upon arriving, he worked as an emergency medicine registrar for two years and then changed his specialty to anaesthesia and completed his training across NSW and Queensland, and in Darwin as a registrar.

Dr Jain holds a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Delhi (2007), Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM), UK (2013), and Fellowship of the Australian College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) (2022).

He is currently working as a staff specialist at Logan Hospital in Brisbane and is a visiting medical officer (VMO) anaesthetist in multiple hospitals across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and at Mater Bundaberg and Friendlies.

Dr Jain is also a senior lecturer at The University of Queensland, is working on several research projects, and is actively involved in the education of anaesthetic registrars.

It's hard to imagine him having any free time, but when he does he enjoys recurve archery, squash, travelling, and cycling.
